Flights - Getting there!
This page should make your plans to visit North Cyprus a little easier. Check the links below for flights to Cyprus. This includes flights to Ercan in Northern Cyprus and flights to Larnaca in Southern Cyprus.
North Cyprus: Ercan Airport (pronounced Erjan)
Our personal preference is to fly to North Cyprus. Flights to Ercan depart from Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick, Manchester, Belfast and Glasgow. They fly first to Turkey. You then remain on the plane as it flies on to Ercan.
Flight time average: 6 hours
Villa transfer time: 40 minutes (£25 rtn or free if hiring a car through us)
South Cyprus
The border opened when Cyprus joined the EU and many people travel this route as is accessible from a wider choice of UK airports. Flights to Larnaca depart from most UK International Airports.
Flight time average: 4.5 hours
Villa transfer time: 90 minutes (£90 rtn)
Although we tend to travel to Ercan, many guests now travel to Hibiscus by flying to Larnaca. The transfer time is around 90 minutes.
We have usually been able to find flights to North Cyprus for between £200-300 in peak season and as low as £169 out of season.
Flights to South Cyprus are similarly priced, but if you your nerve is strong enough you can quite often find some last minute bargains, particularly on the charter flight operator sites. Guests have flown out on BA in June for example, for less than £100.

Another source of flights to North Cyprus A useful option if Cyprus Direct is unable to assist. Online booking facility.
Cyprus Turkish Airlines (CTA)
The main North Cyprus airline.
Do try their website as they occasionally publish promotional fares. However, many of their tickets are pre-allocated to travel companies. So, if the site says no tickets are available - don't despair. Try one of the travel companies listed on this site.
The best CTA prices can be obtained from Cyprus Direct / Cyprus Paradise or Green Island, but worth checking.
Pegasus Airlines
Pegasus fly from Stansted to North Cyprus. Flights are usually (but not always) cheaper than Cyprus Turkish Airlines.
Sun Express
Budget airline flying to Ercan via Izmir or Antalya (as in all such 'direct flights' you stay on the plane when it lands in Turkey). Usually very economical and often having some good last minute prices.
Turkish Airlines
Turkey's national carrier. Longer stopover in Turkey necessitating a change of plane but more seat room and (allegedly) nicer food than CTA. Check their site for promotional offers - in 2007 these were up to GBP100 less than CTA fares.
