Villa Rental Services and Benefits
We take the view that we are not simply renting a villa, but providing a memorable holiday in North Cyprus for each guest.
We also realize that guests are looking for a professional quality of care and attention to detail. We have therefore added lots of touches to add value to your holiday.
Whether it's a honeymoon or romantic escape, a family holiday or a week away with friends exploring the spring-time mountain flowers, we would like to think that Hibiscus will be your dream villa in North Cyprus.
Flight booking
Flight websites are listed on the Flights page.
To ease booking chores, we are happy to offer advice for flight bookings and arrange car hire and airport transfers to the villa if required.
There are regular flights throughout the year to Ercan in North Cyprus from Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester.
Alternatively, fly to Larnaca in South Cyprus - we can arrange a taxi to the villa from there if required. Taxi prices vary and advance booking to secure a fixed price is recommended.
The Hibiscus House is 40 minutes drive from Ercan and about 90 minutes from Larnaca.
Car hire
To fully appreciate all that North Cyprus has to offer, we strongly recommend you hire a car, unless you're content simply relax at the Hibiscus House, and walking around the village or into the mountains, with the occasional bus trip to Kyrenia and the beach.
We are happy to arrange car hire from a choice of vehicles on your behalf, (our family prefers 4WD Jeeps which are very reasonably priced), and include this as an option on the booking form on this site.
If you book your car hire through us we will arrange, airport transfers on your behalf. Usually transfers from Ercan are free while there is a £90 return charge for transfers from Larnaca.
Your car/Jeep is delivered to the villa at a time to suit you (no having to get up early if there’s no need!). At the end of the holiday we’ll arrange for it to be collected from the villa and for you to be taken back to the airport.
If you prefer to make separate arrangements, then we can provide detailed driving directions to the villa. These will be sent to you with the confirmation of your booking.
Maid service
Our villa manager will call on you shortly after your arrival to ensure that all is well and to answer any queries you may have. She will always be available by phone to give advice or help should you need it.
The Hisbiscus House will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and each 7 days thereafter. Additional midweek cleans can be arranged for an extra charge.
The cleaners prepare the villa for each arrival but we kindly request that you leave the villa in a reasonably clean and tidy state on departure.
Extra maid service.
We can offer the choice of additional cleaning during your stay. An additional cleaning visit is £25 per visit. You can indicate your preference on the booking form.
Linen changes
Fresh clean bed linen, bathroom and beach towels are provided weekly, and included in the villa rental price. We can provide a midweek linen change for £30.
Pool towels
To give you more space and less weight with your luggage, we can provide big yellow pool towels. (there's a small extra charge to cover laundry costs). The white towels provided are for use only within the villa and should not be used around the pool or at the beach. You can order up to 6 pool towels on the booking form for just £3 per towel.
Honeymoons and Special Occasions
Planning a honeymoon? The Hibiscus is ideal for honeymooners, or guests wanting to add a holiday to a wedding in Cyprus.
If you are interested in getting married in Cyprus, then we can supply details of an experienced wedding planner who will offer advice and make all the local arrangements on your behalf
Should you have any specific requests – chilled champagne, etc, please discuss them with us when making your reservation.
Equally, let us know if your trip is for a special occasion. We can supply a Premier Welcome pack of luxury groceries for a small extra charge.
In fact, if you have any particular needs, just let us know and, if we can. we'll arrange them for you.
Information guides
In the lounge you’ll find a specially prepared information folder about the villa and North Cyprus in general – places to go, eat, drink, shop and play. It contains contact numbers for local assistance and services.
Equipment for babies and very small children
These are welcome! We know from personal experience how much luggage and equipment babies and small children require.
So to ease your burden, we can provide the following at the villa free of charge:
• Travel cot
• High chair
• Baby changing mat
• Plastic Plates, mugs and cutlery
We can also provide a car seat for a small additional charge.
Complimentary welcome pack
No need to worry about shopping immediately upon arrival!
To get your self-catering holiday off to an easy start, we provide you with a complimentary starter pack of which will contain a basic ‘start-up’ supply of items such as water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, fruit juice.
Premier welcome hamper
You can upgrade your complimentary welcome pack, to a premier welcome hamper.
It includes all the above plus local delights such as wine, humus, olives, fruit and baklava, or you can request groceries of your choice. This service is available upon request for an additional £25. (see booking form), but, must be arranged up to 2 weeks prior to departure.
Wine on arrival
Let us know if you would like us to arrange for a bottle of wine to be chilled and awaiting your arrival at The Hisbiscus House, a perfect way to start your holiday. This service is also available upon request (see booking form) but, must be arranged up to 2 weeks prior to departure.
Villa equipment
The Hibiscus House is well equipped with a good range of equipment for a holiday including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer (ice!) electric kettle, microwave and toaster, right down to a garlic crusher and corkscrew.
For your days out you’ll find a coolbag, ice packs, pool towels. (Other items include ironing equipment, a hair drier, TV / DVD, a portable stereo.
In the kitchen you’ll find an ‘emergencies drawer’ containing a spare bulbs, torch, matches, candles and other ‘might just come in handy’ items. We hope you’ll never need to use the contents, but feel that it is important you know they are there – just in case.
There’s a pay-as-you-go mobile phone available for guests to use (and details of where to buy top up cards. Very handy for restaurant reservations!
North Cyprus is occasionally prone to power and water cuts. They never last for long, but just in case, there are some battery strip lights, candles and lanterns to create an ambient environment.
Water cuts are much rarer in Alsancak than elsewhere in North Cyprus. But, to be on the safe side, we’ve also installed additional water tanks so you shouldn’t run short of that either.
Insect Protection
At Hibiscus House, mosquito nets and vapourisers in all the bedrooms.are included free of charge
We also put a stock of citronella candles in the villa at the start of each season. Used outdoors, one of these is usually sufficient.
