Around the Villa
The terraced gardens have been designed to offer privacy and a choice of places to enjoy depending on your mood and time of day.
Soak in the pool or soak up the rays from one of six loungers on the sun trapped terrace around the pool, or relax under a parasol on a lower terrace
To the east of the villa you can breakfast under a jasmine covered traditional stone pergola, but, sit where you will, there’s always that view…
At night the terraces around Hibiscus House are lantern-lit, while the pool’s underwater lighting allows swimming to be enjoyed long after dark.
The Hibiscus House welcomes children - so this is written just for you...
We understand that grown-ups will simply want to lie around all day in the sun (or shade), reading books eating drinking and occasionally floating or doing ‘laps’ in the pool – all of which means they won’t want you disturbing them!
Boring!
So, we’ve provided of a few things just for you while the grown ups are ‘relaxing’. In the pool you’ll discover floaty things. In the house you’ll find games, a TV and DVD so bring your favourite films.
And for really small children there's a travel cot, high chair and changing mat , bowls and cutlery available - all included in the price.
And then there’s those little comforts…
In case you’re thinking of packing one, you might like to know that Hibiscus has:
• A pay-as-you-go mobile phone (and full-strength reception inside the villa)
• A corkscrew
• Garlic crusher
• Sink plugs!
• There is also usually a jar of marmite (good for warding off any mosquitoes), tea bags, instant coffee and condiments.
• Fresh rosemary grows outside the kitchen door. In the spring we’ll be planting some marjoram and oregano by the terrace (the aroma also deters insects).
